What fluids is everyone using in their Prowlers? I have the 2008 650XT and need to change the oil out and was wondering what everyone is using to do their oil changes, what oil filter you're using, what type of coolant you're using, etc. The guy at Bass Pro said to use the Arctic Cat brand of course, but I doubt that's really necessary. Just need some help.

Not sure which oil to use because I just got my prowler also but I know for a fact that the arctic cat oil is good oil because I had a friend that didn't tighten his drain plug and it fell out on a ride. His engine died because the rings stuck to the piston and he had 0 compression, anyway I told him that engine was toast but that I would pull it apart and see what all damage it did. I was completely shocked at what I saw, the rings had stuck to the piston but that was the only thing. He has no other engine damage his cylinder looked great and the cam was fine also the crank looked perfect. I put new rings and gaskets and still runs great to this day. The cat oil is way to expensive but it is worth the money. I also am looking for a replacement oil that may be less expensive and hopefully it will be as good.

I actually ended up switching over to Amsoil oil and filter. I will stick with the Amsoil oil and either use their filter or a Wix filter (whichever is most available). Now I need to learn how to flush the coolant and re-fill it and possibly look into changing the fluid in the differential.

I just changed my diff oil. The rear has had a noise when stopping & some noise @ cruise speed. I put in some 80/90 Valvaline without the friction modifier. The noise is gone. Not sure if it's gone forever but it's good for now. It also took out about 80% of the jerking in the turfsaver.
