You can answer in more than one category if it applies.

Let me know your thoughts!

Doug,

I'm all about rally car driving like you are, but I've been up Pikes peak in a car and it's freaky. You'd definitely have a lot at stake in a race like that, and whoever did it would definitely wanna have a boosted motor, because a normally aspirated one would be a dog.

Go for it man...I'll come out and film it. We can do outboard, 3 on-boards, and let's go beat some other classes!

I might just have to take you up on that offer if they give me a chance! I really think I can be competitive with the quad classes times, especially with my setup

You'd probably smoke the quads, honestly. It's a really hard race to film though...we'd need a ton of people, front, rear, and driver on-boards, and people staged with cameras the whole way up if it is going to come out good. I wonder if getting little clips from other camera guys is possible...

I've been to the Pikes Peak Races before and it is quite a wild race. I'll admit, there are a couple of corners where it's scary as hell. I met a road grader on one of the corners one time and thought it was all over (the both of us didn't fit)...but I think running it in a Prowler would be much better than taking my DuraMax up it. But definitely a fun race....I'd consider it

Yeah I think we could use the forums to reach people that might have some vids that they could send in if they don't already know us. I'm thinking I'm going to need like 4 GoPro's staged all over

I think the Prowler would be a great candidate for this race because of the top speeds it can do right out of the box! Now if you could get the center of gravity down at least another 6 or 8 inches, we'd really be talking

I think if I did it, which my wife would never let me do, I'd build a center seat RZR with a Stage 2 Big Bore MCX Turbo kit, 8+ over long travel, and make it sit where I had with only 1/3 of the shock upstroke left, so it sat nice and low, but that all depends on how smooth they make the road. You wouldn't want to bottom out, that's for sure.

Sounds like we have the same idea

The road looks pretty smooth and I think we could get away with dropping them a LOT!

I've driven it, and I'm sure for the race it's graded pretty darn well. You know you can use my goproHD, my vio, and I could film outside with one standard def and one high def video camera...To me, though, we'd need video people in every big corner all the way up the climb...that seems insane. Or, better yet, Greg in a helicopter filming you the entire time...now we're talking!

Actually lets mention that to him and see what we can do! I'm sure that someone has already hired one or two choppers, so maybe we can get in on that

The other thing we can do if this goes through, is to use the practice days to shot the different corners. I'm hoping to at least get it run it 2 or 3 times before the final race day. That way we will know what the best corners to be at are.
