CDI Box For 08 650XT

I have a stock 650XT, looking for advice on speed and power, without spending alot of money. I love the low range not so happy with the high range. Any advice would be great! Will the CDI be worth it ? and what brand do you suggest.

I just purchased one for mine, haven't yet noticed anything different, at first it took a bit to start up, going to run it a few days and see if it improves.

I think you will start noticing more of a difference once you start combining it with other mods. Any thoughts of going with an aftermarket intake/exhaust?

the CDI on the 08 650 is way retarted for any hi altatude use 5000 ft or more . you can here the valves trying to breath just like those old low compression chevy in the early 80's , at least that's the way my 08 runs here in colorado . ???? has anyone elese had problems with there frount shocks , mine are weak and one leaked at 250 miles of use and of course it was out of warranty not that I would replace it with the stock junk . I have never seen a cheaper shock on a unit form the ????USA!!!!. CDI's, well I sure would like to know if anyone has been happy with an after market up grade for the money and from what mfg.

I've noticed a great response change at low end torque and the spunkiness is greater at take off as well as the rev limiter and override both disengaged. Other than that, there really wasn't much more and that was from the Dynatek CDI box.

CDI Box

I purchased a CDI box last year and noticed the biggest improvement when starting out, seems to have more grunt to it. I own 78 acres and one trail that starts in the creek and goes right up the mountain side. Thought I would really see what improvements I would get. So first round was without the cdi box from dynatek. Seem to take a little bit for it to wind up, definitely needed that extra grunt when starting up the side where I have one creek branched over into my trail, muddy as hell, but fun going up. I made it to the top seemed to bog down in a few spots on the rpm's.
Second round threw back in the cdi box, and felt the extra grunt again, laid into it all the way up, no issues. got to the top and actually built up enough speed to where it jumped the hump at the top. All in all I would say that it was worth it. But what i do need is a aftermarket filter system. The one on sidebysidesports.com is 404 bucks. Kinda stout I think especially when I only paid 176 bucks for my teryx system.
Anyone know where I can get a good deal on a K&N Filter system or UNI, or whatever? Still shopping for an exhaust system, the prowler is the wifes toy and she doesn't want it insanely loud like my LTZ400 with a alba full racing exhaust. She and they neighbors can hear me on the other side of the mountain..
