1000 XTZ new intake and now slower???

Pulled intake out and put 3" cone k&n filter on and now seems to be slower and hitting rev limiter... I have big gun exhaust and big gun tuner and have made adjustments to mode 2&3 but doesn't seem to do change. Revs out at 58 and was doing about 66-68 before. Any suggestions? I'm open to about anything, just want to be able to keep up to the razors and still be able to get through the mud. Figured more air would create more power but I'm stumped on this one.
Thanks!!

What do the plugs look like? Were you hitting the rev limiter before the modifications? Did you completely eliminate the stock air box? What did you do with the IAT sensor? More questions, but no answers yet!

Have not pulled plugs yet, will tonight. Was not hitting rev limiter before the air box. I'm guessing the iat is the air sensor. I built an adapter between intake and filter and then drilled a hole and mounted the sensor.

That is right on the sensor. Is the hole before the throttle body, or after? If your on the rev limiter now, you must have picked up some RPM, you may be running rich/lean on the mixture. See what the plugs tell you!

A stock 1000 xtz will run around 75 mph right out of the box...minus no windshield.
