I'll never put mine back in! When I first started traveling with my Prowler I bought a new oneway bearing for my road kit! I now have two taking up space on my shelf! LOL , my Prowler seems like a different machine! Below 10 mph, I can gain some engine braking by blipping the throttle! Over 10,000 miles on mine now, and still on the original brake pads!

Just cannot understand why they even put that hunk of crap in there in the first place. I've owned many four wheelers over the years with nary a problem this thing has been a pain in the A**.
I also removed the one way bearing and everything seems to be working good now. thanks to all who responded and for all the info on the prowler

Removed and discarded! Never looked back! LOL The only time I really noticed any big difference was on a very steep incline down hill! Had to tap the brakes several times!

Please help not sure if it's drive belt or one way differential, I have a 2014 prowler hdx 500 xt, was driving fine this morning and suddenly
It won't go anymore, turns on fine both on park and neautral, Axel's are not locked up when in neautral. There isn't anything wrong when it's cranked up either on park and neautral stars jut fine. I've read some things I think I can be either one way dif or broken drive belt?

Welcome to the forum! Could be several things, broken belt, or an oil seal allowing oil to leak into the clutch cover. One way bearing should allow some type of movement. There is a drain plug on the clutch cover, pull it and see if anything drains out, or pull the clutch air out duct work and look at the belt.

Pull the skid plate under he motor and you should see a 1/4" plug in the bottom of the case. Learning to maintain these things is not to hard, the service manuals are a great help. K&T lawn equipment has free downloads on many models, and years. My Prowler was my first experience with any ATV/UTV, so I made a lot of mistakes learning how to work on it! Get a manual, and ask a lot of questions! The forums are here for you!

Removed the one way, worked for a few days, now I have a high pitched rapid rattling noise coming from the clutch assembly, especially when deacceleration, under load it's fine at least if I maintain a speed of 5 mph. Anyone know what might be causing this?? I can still plow albeit slowly, maybe I will just run it until it blows... then I will know for sure what it is =).

Could it be driveline noise? The one way masks a lot of other sounds. Other than the noise how does it perform?

I don't believe it's driveline noise

The noise is coming from inside the primary clutch as near as I can tell anyway. Just a fast loud rattle and only when over 5mph or not under load. I'm going to have to tear it down again probably to see what is going on.
