All, just purchased my first side x side and went with a 2006 Prowler 650 that I think I got a good deal on. However the speedometer and hour meter do not work. The display lights up red with the back lights but does not display anything. Is this a commom problem and if so do you mind sharing the commom fixes. I have no idea how the speedimeter or hour meter work or I would start trying to fix it now but thought I would inquire here first.

Disconnect the battery and see if it resets, if not clean the connections and apply
di-lectic grease to them. Try again, if still no go you will need a new pod. Not sure if other years will match or not. You could try owersportsnation.com

Im sorry to hear that
I have a 2008 650xt prowler that does the same thing goes off/on about every 5 seconds .
will be watching for a cure speedometers range from 220-300 bucks.

Off and on every 5 seconds sounds like a fault detected. Disconnect the battery to try and reset.
