Bulletin No: 2009-6-02 Subject: Voltage Regulator Mounting Screws
Affected Models: All 2009 Prowler XTZ within the VIN range of 305109-305693.
What is the reason for this notice?
It has been determined that the machine screws securing the voltage regulator are improperly installed
and need to be reversed.
Condition: Both machine screws securing the voltage regulator to the battery box were
installed incorrectly which may cause the battery to leak acid.
Solution: Reverse both machine screws according to the instructions in this bulletin.
What should you do?
Warranty: A labor allowance of 0.2 hr will be paid per affected UTV.
Instructions:
1. Remove both seats and center console; then disconnect the ECU from the main harness. Remove battery box
cover and battery. Retain all hardware.
2. Remove both machine screws securing the voltage regulator to the battery box; then install voltage regulator
making sure machine screws are installed from the top. Tighten securely.
3. Install battery; then connect the main harness to the ECU.
4. Install center console and both seats.
