Lets make this Wendover Race on October 5th one for the record books! Go to our Facebook page and post your idea of how we can make this the best race to date and the best idea is a winner. These have to be things we can actually do as a group so saying things like $20,000 in prize money or get BJ and Robby to show up wont cut it.

And don't forget to like our page and enter to win the 20" Led Light Bar
https://www.facebook.com/pages/Bonneville-Off-Road-Racing-Wendover-2013/539175709453517

This is open to everyone not just those that are involved with Bonneville Off Road Racing or SxSchallenge.com

Watch our page for more giveaways this summer!

Its interesting you say that because I also see a difference in how the wildcat handles vs the RZR. They both seem to be on par as far a power goes and we actually have a really decent turn out of wildcats. All that being said looking at race times and DNF lists shows they have no advantage over an XP and if you average times the wildcat is slower overall then the xp.

One thing I have noticed is xp drivers seem to be far far more aggressive. Im not sure why. I would love to see some wildcat drivers out drive the RZR guys. Time will tell I guess

On another note

I have had a few people contact me asking how do I enter to win the light bar if Im not one facebook. Myself personally am not on facebook other than an account I set up with my wife as my only friend because I got tired of my neighbors knowing more about my wife and kids then me so I 100% understand those that do not choose to use facebook. That being said here is the deal with the giveaway. What we are trying to do is promote the race and even if you’re not going to attend as a spectator or racer it helps to have a buzz about it. What facebook does is help spread that buzz. Say you have 100 FB friends and you choose to like and share our page. It’s a safe bet to think that at least a couple of your friends have the same likes and interests as you and may be interested in us also. So now one of your friends likes and shares our page and the cycle keeps going. So by us offering to give stuff away to get you to follow our page you give us access to your network of friends who we hope has a few who will also give us access the their network and so on. You can see this is a two way street so by us allowing people to enter to win a facebook giveaway when they are not members of facebook is counterproductive.
So I am 100% open to running another giveaway that can target another type of audience other than facebook. The thing is is what can we do that we can follow entries and progress, doesn’t cost us money other than the prize being given out and will actually have a positive benefit to getting people to the race? I am open for ideas?
Unfortunately things have had a steady decline with BOR since 2009 and while a lot of that is our fault if we don’t get a decent turn out for this event it very well may be time to throw in the towel. So Im open to doing whatever I can to make this an event people want to come and race and spectate at.

I dont think any of them have been the X model. The owner of the race org is heavily affiliated with an arctic cat dealer and has been racing off road for a very long time including class 1. He jumps in his sxs and races from time to time and is very fast in his wildcat when it holds together. That being said he was just as fast in his xp before the release of the wildcat. He also has no problem breaking either machine.

The guy your talking about wouldn't be Bi-Polar Jim would it.I know he races the baja 500 and the 1000 for A/C.I remember back in 2006 he took a pretty much stock motor and chassis and went the farthest in the stock class, and did it again in 2009 on a 700xtx and then again in 2009 on xtz 1000.Polaris is still far the king of the market, things might change a little in 2014 when the 50'' wildcat comes out.

I know one of the things we have lacked in the past was getting info out in a timely manner if at all. Not this race my friends we are doing every thing we can to keep it going.

I know we dont have a "rulebook" but lets face is with a limited number of classes out main focus is that the people racing are safe. Here is a general checklist of what its going to take to pass tech inspection for trucks, Buggies and SxS.
