Today near the end of a ride on our 2010 XTZ 1000 we noticed a high pitched squeal/whine coming from somewhere near the doghouse. I don't think it is a belt as the sound is present even in natural. also get the sound when the engine is off and I turn the ignition on without starting. That is when I turn the key to on, the sound is present for 2 or 3 seconds. Any ideas?

The only thing I can thing of is something related to the fuel injection. I have an'07 carb engine so I'm just guessing but it seems that would be the only thing that would kick on with the key to build fuel pressure.

Iam sure those have a electric fuel pump,if so maybe that.
