for some reason I can never play video from here, whats the name of it on you tube
turbo xtz 1000 lost the race at mohab today at the rally
Well, since you assumed it would grenade like a polaris motor I will tell you that this weber powered rzr had over 1200miles on it as of the drags and went on hells revenge the next morn..then we beat it up for three more day's at lil sahara...oh yeah...it runs 14 lbs o boost... you will need to ask MCX how much boost they ran in the prowler...all i can tell you is it lost every race..:happy:rzr guys on this forum..lmfao..now thats funnny....130 hp? bet that thing lasts a day at the dunes...maybe. and that prowler is probably running 3lbs of boost have MPI crank it to 12 and see what happens....
Exactly, if you put enough money into a Club Car it could beat everything else.wow...i did hear what happened...interesting story, if its true you better increase your boost..lol...and the prowler owner wont even have to have any motor work done..:box: Hear you spent more money on the motor then you did your polaris.... i should hope you win a few races...
MCX did put the same amount of money in it!!! the weber costs the same as a turbo kit, but more importantly it doesnt grenade...The problem you guy's have with the prowler is the clutch..as soon as someone comes out with a good one that thing will fly!! but until then it isnt the quickest or fastest utv with a belt drive out there..:box:Exactly, if you put enough money into a Club Car it could beat everything else.
The XTZ motor has more potential than that RZR ever will. Put the same amount of money into the XTZ as he did the RZR and it'll walk away from the RZR....
I don't know where he get's his info but i spent under 20k for a new rzr-s with a weber... a turbo kit is 6k with the stuff you need to make it run with a weber and the base rzr-s is 13k +...so i payed about 500.00 more and didn't blow up the motor like the turbo polaris guy's did..According to Split though, you spent more money on the motor than you did on the RZR... that is a heck of a lot more than the MPI turbo...
Just going on that...
like i said..6k when your done.. the mcx kit for the rzr are 3900.00 but by the time your done making it work right you over 6k..Last I checked, you could get a supercharger for an XTZ for $3500.00 being member on this forum (here or ****************, one of them). That leaves about $2500 to spend on other go-fast goodies that would put it over what you have. The supercharger for the XTZ was producing over 100 horses at the wheels with only 6psi boost. Headwork, exhaust, cam and such would still be under $1500, so that would be quite a jump for $1000 less than what you spent still.
But you do have a quick machine, no doubting that...
Heath at MPI said 112RWHP at 6psi boost...

and the first 15 sold will be $3500
yep, your right..gary "giff-turbo was the king till this year, we had over 4 months of smack talk before the race...both the guy's "giff and 4nines" gunning for me bent their crappy polaris cranks trying to beat the weber..I'm sure that next year will be a diff story.. we are only working with a 750cc motor, so the power/torque is limited..I didnt think we had enough to beat the prowler, we were out their to show the power of the wasteland weber and even more importantly the reliability of this conversion. I had over 1200mi of constant drag racing/dune climbing at over 8k rpm's and this rzr just keeps flying..at about the 150 mile mark i split the throttle bodie boot and didnt know it and sucked dirt in the engine for over 300 miles...this motor is the same as delivered , no rebuild. her'es a pic of how much dirt was left in the intake..i just cleaned everything and kept running it..a polaris motor would have been ruined..i know, my wifes had 3 engines till we put a UMP filter on it.. I just needed to set the record straight...i didnt spend any money on the engine..it's a stock "slightly wounded" weber mpe 750..Mike,
I am not knocking you man.. I just know a couple things that you dont yet. There is always a king of the hill til the next guy comes along. I have built turbo rides and i know what goes into making one run proper and how much it costs. I probably wouldnt build one for the dunes but thats me. The rzr's are cute..but too small for me. You're right the clutches need a bit of work as well, someone will fix that..enjoy your moment....for now...:att:
I have no interest in racing you or your wife, but i bet when that XTZ is done, you will be lucky to beat it.
