Here's a question for Jon Crowley, Doug Dixon, Rick Wallace and the others involved with the latest issue of Side X Side Action... In the testing of the UTV's, the Prowler was the best of each performance catagory except one and in that one it was second. Why they did the magazine rate the Prowler so low then. It seems the others got higher stars than the Prowler even though the XTZ beat them. Ie: The XTZ beat the Teryx in the slalom, braking, loaded and unloaded speed tests, but the Teryx got more stars in the Handling, Steering and Suspension areas. Seems to me that the XTZ should've gotten the highest ratings in those areas.
The Prowler XTZ won the loaded and unloaded speed contests, had the fastest slalom time, won the hill climb speed and time test, was second in the braking test, had the shortest loaded stopping distance... what gives...
It sounds to me like Side X Side just doesn't like Arctic Cat very much or AC isn't spending enough advertising dollars in the mag....
Jon, I sure hope you weren't one of the naysayers in the test, I see that you did like the speed and that it was a fun machine...
