[MCX-USA Turbos]

Hey guys,

MCX-USA is going to do the install and testing of our Turbo Kit for the 2009 Prowler XTZ, but we need a machine to test it on by the end of this month.

If you're interested in doubling your HP/TQ and getting a free turbo kit as a result, please email me immediately so we can arrange to make it happen.

It will need to be delivered to Salida, CO by the end of this month, and we'll be taking it to the Moab UTV Rally on May 12-17th for it's debut. From there, we'll ship the kit back to Sweden for production, and you'll get a production kit soon to follow that.

If you're interested, we need to move quickly to make this happen. Please understand, you're most likely going to have at least a month of downtime by doing this, but you'll get a $5K Turbo Kit for free.

Thank you Chris and MCX-USA for allowing me to be the test bed for your new turbo kit. This is a great opportunity for me and the members of the Prowler forum to be a part of something new for the XTZ 1000. I can't wait to see the finished product and feel the power. I am sure we will learn which parts can handle the extra power and which parts can’t soon enough. I am confident that Chris and the guys at MCX-USA will get it all sorted out. I will keep every one posted as the project moves forward.

Hey guys,

We got our Ranger XP Turbo Kit together and during our testing today, it smokes the stock Ranger obviously. And, guess what? It smokes a stock Prowler XTZ, as well! Sorry Todd...had to! But, not for long for you, that's for sure!

It still doesn't have the top end speed as the XTZ though does it?

Yours is stock remember? Once your turbo is on the Prowler, you'll definitely have the fastest UTV ever...bar none. Based on our Thundercat kit, we're betting you're going to be putting down around 140 RWHP, so you'll have nothing to worry about, that's for sure.

I know I was just in a funny mood hence the number two spark plug joke. I can't wait to see how she runs with new intake and exhaust. The XTZ is so choked up I have been told a computer, intake and exhaust alone is worth 30 horse.

It looks like the Turbo Ranger takes my stock Cat by about a car length or so. The stock Ranger got an ass whooping by the turbo Ranger. Those turbos sure are nice at high altitude. I can't wait to see the video of my XTZ with the turbo against the Ranger turbo and the Teryx turbo.

Yeah, it's going to be pretty sick what we get out of the Prowler and the Teryx, no doubt about it. Can you imagine a big bore Prowler XTZ with a turbo on it? I bet that would be pushing 200RWHP...anything is possible, but for the production kit, we're expecting somewhere around 140RWHP, which should be plenty to beat any UTV around.

The baseline Dyno numbers are in:

59.3hp
51.23tq

That's not so bad. What was the number for the Teryx? Ranger? Turbo Ranger?

My guess is about 60-62 hp / 52 - 54 ft lb. tq for the turbo Ranger.

Chris asked me to post these numbers. He has to do all of this from his cell phone right now and he says it's as slow as a Teryx!


Stock Ranger: 30.69hp 28.95tq
Turbo Ranger: 60.25hp 52.74tq

Teryx hasn't arrived yet, so we're planning to Dyno it on Friday.
