Need some help here...... Had a steep, rugged climb to make this past weekend and decided to err on the side of caution and use diff lock. Had to wind up holding the override while making my run because it would cut out on me. I understand the reverse part of it, but hi-range, going forward in lock mode? Is it supposed to do that?

I tried both. I had to dig the machine out by hand. I have a winch but I was on a river and the tree line was to far away. After I dug out the snow from under it I was able to drive it back on top of the packed snow. That was the only time I used it.

I have an 08 prowler and I noticed when I reved the motor up too high the diff lock wanted to cut out on me even though I have installed a Dynatek chip that gets rid of the rev limiter.Mine really seems to do better in 4 wheel low when in deep mud.I have some noise issues going on with mine now that I really beat it hard in the mud in Canada. When I'm going at high speed 2 wheel drive down the road and I let off the gas pedal it makes one heck of a click, click, click noise. Any ideas? It sounds like the clutch or brakes or something clinging in the trans area.Any ideas?

Over ride switch

I ordered an on/off switch and jumpered the override switch. This way when I want to override the limiter (when in diff lock -forward/reverse high/low) all I have to do is switch it on.
Care to share where and what switch you ordered? I think if you can replace the existing monitary contact with a maintained contact that should work?

It is the standard accessory on/off switch from arctic cat. You can get from your dealer or many of the on-line artci cat parts stores. I got from my local dealer. The switch was a little more but I did not have to pay shipping.

The part number is 1436-178. You can also find by searching "arctic cat prowler accessory on/off switch". I paid around $10.
