Prowler 650 2008
Starts the first time everytime when engine is cold.
Problem: After running for maybe 10 minutes and shutdown. The starter can not turn it over. It just moves part way and stops. Feels like the belt is binding. After it cools down it starts just fine.
Battery is good putting out 12.5. Starter turns it over fast the first try when cold.
Any ideas appreciated.

Definately time for a valve lash adjustment would be a reasonable guess from me. Mine did the same thing until I adjusted the valves because they lash adjustment had too much slack. Adjust those at TDC on compression stroke and you will be good to go.

Finally problem solved

Loaded the Prowler on the trailer and hauled it to the AC dealer(65 miles).
They said it is electrical, I had my doubts. They cleaned all the electrical connections and installed a new battery. My old battery showed 12.5 with the motor off. Prowler now turns over and starts every time. It also runs a lot better.
