Any luck yet? I think several states have tried to push regulations on the use of aftermarket seat add ons. If the machine is not originally designed as a 4 seater, it can't be used as one. I think I heard California, and Arizona had looked at it. Not sure where this is at or even a concern. Where are you located Flyboy?

I'm up in northwestern part of Minnesota, Duluth. Damn DNR has regulations so tight up here its pretty much illegal to even own a ATV. They sure as hell don't legally allow us to ride them anywhere! I have no idea what the rules and regs are on adding cages to a single cab SXS. I've seen them running around here and there. It's for my kids and I'd also get the harness seat belts and all 3 of them have helmets they wear all the time. DNR seem to not mind when you are keeping every as safe as you can!

I have not heard any issues in the Midwest! Hell we are almost neighbors! Isn't Duluth over on Western area of Lake Superior? I get up to the upper in Michigan a couple of times a year, great riding, pretty much wide open as long as you don't trespass! Our DNR is good to work with, just don't yank their chain! LOL

Yes sir, right on the nose of lake superior. A bridge separate's us and Superior Wi. Minnesota is TRYING to get better with ATV riding like our neighbors in WI. It's a Snowmobile friendly state but we have so many tree huggers up here you go through a puddle with an ATV and it's probably considered wetlands and you'll get a fine for it! They just need to relax on the rules and think about the revenue they could bring in by letting us actually ride them places. There's always the A-holes who ruin it for the rest of us and tear stuff up and damage property and trespass.

I'm thinking about riding the upper peninsular, and points west this summer, I do want to try WI., any ideas? Michigan jumped on the band wagon about 6 years ago, they realized the economic potential and really put forth an effort. Meeting next month with the DNR ORV advisory committee, it is also open to the public. All of MI ORV fee's are earmarked for trail improvement.

For you guy's who want to ride in Wisconsin send me a PM. I have rental cabins right off the trail. 24/7 gas on site, fantastic restaurant/bar all on site! All at reasonable rates. 400+ miles of trails and endless forest roads! Or call 715 292 (SLIM) and ask to rent the BAYFIELD OR CHEQUAMEGON CABIN.
