I know I have to take belly pan off but is it just the 4 bolts on engine side. What is involved on the other end? The u joint on that end is going out. Any help in this matter will be greatly appreciated.

On my XTZ1000 I also had to tip the rear diff pinion down.

Thanks, I think I am going to just replace the complete drive shaft with a new one.

You can download a free service manual at the Country Cat website. I also rotated mine to get the shaft out.

I want to thank those that replied to my post. As it turned out it was 4 bolts and it slid right off the splined shaft on rear differential. One u joint dry and other has worn the joints holes some. I bought this prowler used and they must have driven it pretty hard. It’s just seeing light duty on the farm now. I am replacing the complete drive shaft as a unit. Should be good to go years to come.

Prowlers are pretty stout! Mine is 10 years old, but still a fun ride!

Again, t I want to thank those that replied to my post. After looking at it I decided to replace it with a complete new driveshaft. The rear ujoint was bad and coming out. The front joint had worn in the joint and by replacing it would not stayed tight. Again thanks.
