OK, 1ST im a girl and new to the side by side utv club but have always had a quad and for a G i know enough to get my self out of trouble and into trouble. Anyways, the transmission on my 2009 prowler seems really different than my quad (grizzly 660) (two different machines) but can you give me alittle info like when i have it in HI and Im building up speed is this thing suppose to shift or does it just stay in hi like its rap'n out? My grizzly shifted and it was smooth but this thing dosnt shift and its so loud, so far im hat'en it. And what does someone do to quiet it down cause this aint no hunt'in utv if they hear me from 5 miles away.

Belated welcome! Me Bad! Transmission does not shift, but utilizes a CVT clutch. As the engine RPM's increase, the clutch changes the overall drive ratin to the rearend, byt the clutch pullies changing ratio.
