Hi guys,
I just bought this used 2009 prowler 1000 XTZ. I installed a voltage gauge after getting stuck in the hills of Nevada when the magneto coils had a break or burn through in them. I had that repaired and now I notice, when riding the prowler, that the voltage keeps fluctuating between 12.5 and 15.5 volts. Every few seconds it cycles back and forth from 12.5 to 15.5 volts. Is this normal? I'm worried I'm going to end up stuck in the hills again with a drained battery. Can anyone put my worries to rest? Thanks in advance,

Check the AC voltage on the input of the regulator (mounted on the bottom of the battery box) and see if it is stable. then recheck your DC voltage with a known good meter.
