Have a 2010 Prowler and know it has a factory winch mount but don't clearly understand how to mount winch. Does fairlead go in front of plate and winch behind the plate? Any help or up close pics would help a great deal. Thanks

Mounting winch to Prowler.

Yes you are correct. The winch mounts on the backside of the factory mount. I fabricated a plate to extend the roller out to the front bumper.

I made a plate to go where the overpriced factory one goes and put my remote plug in there too. Will post a pic this weekend.

I have the same question for a 2014 500 HDX. I want to mount a super winch Terra 35.

I have an 09 XTX, and I used the factory mounting plate with a 3,000 Warn Winch. Not a bad set up for my needs! I basically only use the winch for my snow plow, but have used it on the trails without any issues.
